Speeder Fin for SALVIMAR

The Speeder fin, a fishing or freediving product, comprises a shoe with an integrated insole and a removable shovel. The development phase focused on the characteristics of the two components - the shoe and the shovel - and their interaction, which was improved through the enhancement of the grafting system, ultimately enhancing the overall functionality of the product.

The fishing shoe serves as the link between the angler and the shovel, channeling the power from the user to the shovel, transforming it into movement. To maximize the efficiency of the Speeder fin, the lateral spars were positioned under the sole of the foot, significantly improving comfort while simultaneously increasing the thrust with the same effort.

The spars are equipped with internally fused side clips that ensure excellent mechanical adhesion to the blade, preventing steps and minimizing hydrodynamic turbulence. The shoe has been designed with a particular shape and variable thicknesses to provide remarkable mechanical resistance combined with lightness and rigidity. A soft upper has been paired with a rigid insole incorporated during the molding process, guaranteeing an excellent transfer of energy from the diver to the shovel.

The shovel is made of polypropylene mold to ensure the best propulsive thrust and excellent elastic return while minimizing the effort of fining. The blade has been constructed with different thicknesses: the heel has a thickness of 3.5 mm, while the tip has a thickness of 1.8 mm.

In summary, the Speeder fin is an ergonomic, rubber shoe with differentiated thickness for excellent comfort. It features a rigid insole in P.P incorporated during molding and polypropylene side clips fused into the spar. The shovel is made of stampo with different thicknesses, ensuring optimal propulsive thrust and elastic return while minimizing the effort required for fining.
